I'm using Remo DNC 5.0. I have not been able to get any data to show when I try to auto detect DNC settings.

Auto Detect works a lot of the time but sometimes the parameters can't be detected.
In this case setting up manually is often not difficult.
First. What kind of machine is it? Is it a something common like a Fanuc? or something rarer.
Can you see into your CNC/Control's setup to see what parameters are set? What's the baud rate?
If you can se, at least, the baud rate in the CNC then set EasyDNC/Remo to the same baud rate. Then set it to Receive mode (Not remo Mode, just normal receive mode) and go to the CNC and punch out a program. What appars on the computer display? Anything? Clear text? Garbage?
